What is SmarterMotors Send to Car App?
SmarterMotors Send to Car app allows you to use your mobile device to send a destination/address wirelessly through the internet directly to your car’s navigation system (you can be 1,000 miles away from your car and it will still send). This app will work with most internet connected navigation systems.
Supported Car Models (subject to change):
WORLDWIDE:Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz
USA:Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, SYNC: Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury, OnStar: Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saab, and Saturn.
Setup and Help for Specific Car Models:
AudiYou must have the MMI Navigation option and an Audi connect account to work with the app. Use your MyAudi email and password to use the Send to Car feature.
BMWYou must have BMW Connected Drive account to work with the app. Use your BMW Connected Drive email and password to use the Send to Car feature. You may need to update your BMW software before using the app.
GM: Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saab, Saturn (OnStar)You must have an active OnStar account with eNav to work with the app. The username for your GM vehicle is the same username as your OnStar account.
Ford, Lincoln, Mercury (SYNC) You must have an active Sync Services account to work with the app. The username is the 10 digit phone number linked with your Sync account.
*Special restriction: Ford does not allow sending destinations while in Canada, only the USA. After using your phone to send the destination, push the Sync voice command button and say, "Services," to download the address into the navigation system.
Mercedes-BenzYou must have an active mBrace or COMAND Online account to work with the app. You may use your email or VIN to use the Send to Car feature.
